Food Irradiation Course under TENMAK National Course Programme

The Food Irradiation Course under the  TENMAK National Course Programme was held by TENMAK NÜKEN at the Sarayköy Campus during 29–30 June 2026.
As part of the course, detailed theoretical information was provided to personnel of the General Directorate of Food and Control of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry on food irradiation facilities and their inspection; legal regulations in Türkiye and around the world; the intended purposes and fields of application of food irradiation; the chemical and microbiological effects of irradiation on food; its use for quarantine purposes; consumer acceptance; its effects on human health; and the standards and studies used for the application of detecting methods on irradiated food.
