Dünyada ve Türkiye’de bor ürün ve teknolojilerinin geniş bir şekilde kullanımını, yeni bor ürünlerinin üretimini ve geliştirilmesini teminen değişik alanlarda kullanıcıların araştırmaları için gerekli bilimsel ortamı sağlamak; bor ve ürünlerini kullanan ve/veya bu alanda araştırma yapan kamu ve özel hukuk tüzel kişileri ile iş birliği yaparak bilimsel araştırmaları yapmak, yaptırmak, koordine etmek ve bu araştırmalara katkı sağlamak amacıyla kurulan Ulusal Bor Araştırma Enstitüsü, 28/03/2020 tarihli ve 31082 sayılı Resmî Gazete’de yayımlanan 57 sayılı Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kararnamesi ile faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir. Enstitü; bor ve bor türevlerine ilişkin Ar-Ge çalışmalarını desteklemek, ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde bilimsel iş birliklerini geliştirmek, yenilikçi teknolojilerin hayata geçirilmesine katkı sağlamak ve ülkemizin bor alanındaki bilgi birikimini ve rekabet gücünü artırmak üzere faaliyetlerini yürütmektedir. The National Boron Research Institute was established to provide the scientific environment required for research by users in various fields in order to promote the widespread use of boron products and technologies in Türkiye and worldwide and to enable the production and development of new boron products; to conduct, commission and coordinate scientific research and contribute to such research in cooperation with public- and private-law legal entities that are using boron and its products and/or carrying out research in this field. The Institute has been continuing its activities under Presidential Decree No. 57, published in Official Gazette No. 31082 dated 28 March 2020. It operates to support R&D on boron and boron derivatives, develop scientific cooperation at national and international level, contribute to the implementation of innovative technologies, and to enhance Türkiye’s fund of knowledge and competitiveness in the field of boron.

Through the sharing of knowledge, expertise, and processes, studies at TENMAK BOREN are continued with a multidisciplinary approach, in collaboration and coordination among university- public sector- private sector, with the aim of generating knowledge on boron, advancing techniques and expertise, and ultimately transforming these outcomes into technology.

Our Institute’s Vision

in the fields of boron mine and chemicals, the product and technologies based on the foregoing and within other related fields, and within the framework of Agency’s objectives and the working principles, programs and priority areas determined by the Executive Board as well as under the powers vested by the President of the Agency,

a) To meet innovation needs, provide researchers with a scientific environment, enable the production of new products and the development of existing ones, and to cooperate with public- and private-law persons for these purposes.

b) To carry out, commission and monitor R&D activities and to develop programmes and projects for this purpose.

c) To carry out or commission all types of research, development, innovation, design, technology acquisition, production, testing and localisation activities in order to ensure the widespread use of products and technologies developed as a result of R&D activities; to cooperate with public- and private-law persons and carry out joint projects for this purpose.

ç) To carry out R&D projects and other scientific and technical studies, in cooperation with the Ministry units and its affiliated, related and associated organisations, on matters where they require such work.

d) To conduct and commission research relating to the environment and human health.

e) To conduct research and development activities in Türkiye and abroad within the scope of the Agency’s cooperation with national and international institutions and organisations, and to participate on behalf of the Agency in the works executed by national and international institutions and organisations.

f) To make scientific contributions to and participate in national and international scientific meetings such as congresses and seminars.

g) To undertake works for the establishment of the research and development centres, laboratories and similar units which are necessary within the scope of the Institute, operate them, and procure the necessary devices and equipment.

ğ) To render analysis, testing, technical support, examination, assessment, consultancy and other related services.

h) To perform other duties assigned by the Executive Board and the President of the Agency.
