At the Central Radiopharmacy Laboratory (MRL) of the Radioisotope Unit, quality control of radiopharmaceuticals and cold kits produced domestically or imported from abroad is carried out upon the request of the Ministry of Health General Directorate of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacy and relevant companies. A “Quality Control Report for Radiopharmaceuticals and Cold Kits” is prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Health General Directorate of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacy for evaluation.
Quality control of instruments that measure the doses of radioisotopes used in nuclear medicine is provided upon application by public and private healthcare institutions with nuclear medicine departments. Dose-measuring instruments (dose calibrators) are tested for accuracy using standard sources and, for other measured radioisotopes, against specified criteria to verify that accurate measurement values can be obtained; a “Dose Calibrator Quality Control Report” is then prepared.
